The Craziness of Summer!!

Hey everyone!

This summer has been absolutely CRAZY! So much has been happening, and I hope I can fill you in on everything before I forget!

Well, we started our yearly family vacation up north with a road trip up to New York. We were able to see some dear friends of ours for a few days until we hit a huge snag! Our oldest daughter, Ceanna, got sick and had to be hospitalized. We had so many people praying for her, and within a few shorts days, the doctors gave us the go-ahead to bring her "home". She is now back to 100% health and is the happy energetic little girl that we know.

Then, sadly we had another snag... My old QB, Steve McNair, was murdered. My wife and I put our vacation on hold for a few days to go home to Nashville and regroup. We were able to pay our respects and support Steve's family, friends, and teammates. The world lost a great man! The circumstances surrounding his death are insignificant compared to the way he lived his life and served others. Steve touched countless lives in a positive way through his humanitarian efforts and philanthropy. Of course he was also one of the greatest athletes the NFL ever had too! Also, we all have our vices and skeletons. Maybe instead of speculating and casting stones, people should be praying for his family and the girl's family. People can also learn from their indescretions and mistakes. Sorry - I had to write that. So many media outlets claimed to be reporting the "news", when all they were really doing was spreading hate and unconfirmed rumors.

Finally we are back on vacation... and dealing with another snag!!! The rental property we arranged up north was nothing like what we were told and agreed to! The land lord lied about what was offered and tried to cheat us out of our money. We had to get legal advice and are now fighting the charges. Fortunately, we were able to secure another property and are able to continue (maybe start?!?!) our vacation!

That's it for now. I'll be back in touch in a few...
